Our history program will enable you to explore the rich tapestry of human history and develop an appreciation of the past and its relevance to contemporary society.

At HSU, you’ll have opportunities as you earn your history degree to visit these local historical sites and get experience studying history in the field. The list of industries and jobs for history majors is incredibly diverse and varies from law to journalism to archiving. Past HSU history majors have gone on to work as lawyers, tutors and educators, project managers and event planners.
If you’re interested in law, the BLS predicts a 9% growth in employment for those in the legal professions.
